snip'n'chip

The SPCA is delighted to launch snip’n’chip in the Hutt Valley, thanks to the support of NZCAR, two local Councils and 4 local veterinary practices throughout the region!

We are offering heavily discounted desexing and microchipping for your favourite furry family member:

  • Snip’n’chip your cat, kitten, puppy or dog for just $9; this includes desexing, microchipping and registration of the chip on NZCAR.
  • Vet chippin’ your pet for $4; this includes microchipping your pet and registration of the chip on NZCAR.

Our aim is to help all Hutt Valley pet owners to provide the best possible life for their cats and dogs. To do this we want to:

  • Reduce the number of unwanted litters - happier pets all round!
  • Help all lost pets find their way home - happier owners all round!
  • Offer sound advice on how pets and native wildlife can better share their urban and suburban surroundings.

Update: The limited number of canine vouchers have now sold out. But keep checking our website for other desexing deals in your area!

It's very simple: buy one of two available offers at any of the participating local veterinary practices and get your furry friend booked in.

*Terms and conditions apply. Dog Snipping Vouchers are limited and are sold on a first come first served basis.

Dog owners’ details will be shared with the local council. Registration of your dog’s microchip on NZCAR is not equivalent to council registration.
