Adoption
Wellington SPCA has wonderful cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits, rats, guinea pigs and aviary birds in need of loving new homes. We promote responsible pet ownership and are looking for new homes for our animals where they will be treated as one of the family. Part of responsible pet ownership is being able to afford not only the day to day cost of owning a pet, but also any emergency care or ongoing medical treatment your pet might need. You also need to have the time available to provide the level of care your animal may need.
Adopting an animal is something you should carefully consider. It's a decision that may affect the next 20 years of your life. There is no 'time limit' for animals available for adoption at Wellington SPCA. We will care for them for as long as it takes for the right home to be found.
Our animals come from a variety of sources, such as owner surrender, lost pets that are never claimed and animal control. All our animals have been vet checked. All cats, dogs and rabbits are desexed and microchipped. Male guinea pigs and rats are neutered prior to adoption.
