Wellington SPCA’s Kid’s Club takes place every month and children aged 6-12 years can come along to take part in an afternoon packed with fun, educational games and activities and the chance to meet some special animal friends.

This month we will be learning more about the SPCA and what they can do to help animals in the community.

The annual SPCA Cupcake Day is just around the corner, so we’ll be putting on our chef’s hats to decorate some tasty cupcakes. We will be putting on a bake sale to sell our fancy decorated cupcakes at the end to raise money for Wellington SPCA.

Next month’s Kid’s Club you’ll find out all about people who care for injured and sick animals and about the different careers they have. You’ll also learn some basic animal first aid and what  to do in an emergency.

Some very special guests will also be coming along  to talk about their experiences helping animals recover from sickness and injury.

June’s Kid’s Club is all about animal heroes and humans who do heroic deeds for animals. As well as playing some awesome games, you’ll also get to know all about what it takes to be an animal welfare inspector.

And there’ll still be plenty of time to hang out with some specially selected animals from Wellington SPCA!
