This Valentine’s weekend Wellington SPCA, with the help of Hill’s™ Pet Nutrition, will be playing Cupid to help find forever homes for some of the 500 animals in our care.

Our annual ‘Second Chance for Love’ adopt-a-thon will take place on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 Febrauary and it’s the perfect opportunity to come and meet our fabulous animals and maybe, just maybe, find your soul-mate!

Last year’s event saw 500 lucky animals throughout the country find their forever home and this year we hope to reach a target of 1,000!

Second Chance for Love is not just a fantastic weekend for our feathered and furry friends. The event’s sponsor, Hill’s™ Pet Nutrition, are providing a whole heap of prizes, giveaways and fantastic offers including a year’s supply of Hill’s™ Science Diet™ pet food to one lucky-in-love adopter!

You can also help Wellington SPCA be in with a chance of winning a $1,000 donation from Hill’s™ by visiting the Second Chance for Love website and voting us as your favourite SPCA branch!

We’ll be keeping our doors open for longer during the event, so make sure you visit one of Wellington SPCA’s centres on Valentine’s weekend and who knows, you might just fall in love again …

Our match-making hours will be:

Newtown: Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February – 9am to 9pm

Waikanae: Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February – 9am to 3pm

Levin: Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 February – 10am to 12pm
