Our Newtown animal centre is bursting with bunnies and we urgently need your help!
We are currently caring for 20 beautiful bunnies but we’ve run out of space for them. In desperation, we are keeping some in temporary cages designed for cats and some rabbits are even being cared for in hutches in our puppy area.
Of course, while the rabbits are in our care they are all perfectly safe and very well looked after. But the current situation is far from ideal - rabbits are prey animals and being around other animals, like dogs, that would normally predate them in the wild, could potentially become stressful for them.
Please help!
We need to find them loving forever homes as soon as possible. All our rabbits are available to adopt for only $65 or $95 for a pair and are already desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. We can also provide you with a fabulously spacious, easy-to-access bunny bungalow for a fantastic discount price of $295.
If you can offer one (or more!) of these fabulous rabbits a home, please call us today on 04 389 8044.
We’re pretty sure that some of the rabbits are owned pets who may have escaped from gardens and backyards. So, if you have lost a rabbit please check our found pets list - yours could very well be with us!
Wellington SPCA strongly recommends that all pets, including rabbits, are microchipped so that found animals can be quickly reuinted with their owners.
