Grieving
Any animal lover that has lost a companion animal understands
the pain and trauma this can cause. What they are less likely
to understand is the grief process that they will go through.
Grief is a very personal emotion, which people experience
and deal with in different ways. Be aware that you are not
the only one going though such emotions and don’t be
afraid to share your feelings with others that understand.
Gathering information on grief resources and pre-planning
your animals after death care in advance will allow you to
grieve without additional stress and save you from self-recrimination
should you make a hasty decision at the moment of emotional
turmoil.
