Dog Squad & Collections

Join our dog squad with your well-behaved canine friend to raise money for the homeless animals.

Dog squad volunteers spend an hour or two on a weekend, two or three times a year, collecting at busy supermarkets or shopping malls with their dogs. Dogs must be comfortable being approached by small children, other dogs and cyclists.

Dog Leads at the Wellington SPCA

Volunteers, with or without dogs, are also needed to collect for us on our annual street collections in Wellington City and suburbs, Porirua, Hutt City and the Kapiti Coast. We need volunteers who can spare a hour before or after work, in lunchtime and throughout the day.

Our Annual Street Collection is in November each year.

We Need Jumpers!

As the cold weather bites our smallest puppies need jumpers to keep them warm. If you are feeling crafty or are a confident knitter, and would like to help, click here to download the knitting patterns.
