Cat and Kitten Adoption

You can look at some of the cats and kittens we have available for adoption here. New cats and kittens come into our centres and are adopted to new homes every day, so this may not be the full list.

We recommend that all the members of your household who will be living with the cat or kitten you adopt come and meet it and are part of the adoption process.

When you come to adopt a cat or kitten from us, one of our animal caregivers will have a chat with you about the sort of cat you're looking for and what your lifestyle's like - this will help them to introduce you to the cats that are best suited to you. They will also give you information about the cat's personality and the type of home best suited to it. If you find a cat or kitten that you would like to adopt you will need to complete an adoption application form. If you are renting your property you will need to bring written consent from your landlord to show that you have permission to have a cat at the property.

Once your application has been processed, the animal caregiver will give you advice on how to settle your cat into your home and take you to the retail area to buy the food, litter, bowls etc you will need. To be able to take your cat or kitten home with you, you must have a secure cat carrier. You may bring one of your own or you can purchase one from our retail shop at the time of adoption.

Our current adoption fees for cats and kittens are:

  • $175 for kittens under 6 months old, $225 for a purrfect pair.
  • $75 for kittens aged 6 months to one year, $125 for a purrfect pair.
  • $50 for adult cats over one year old, $85 for a purrfect pair.

Our adoption fees include the cost of desexing, microchipping, vaccinations and , worm and flea treatments.. The cost of a carrier case is additional to the adoption fee. If your cat or kitten needs a booster vaccination or desexing stitches removed, we will arrange a time for you to bring your cat back for these, at no charge.

FIV vaccinations are available at an additional cost.
